Yesterday was Sophia's party. We had it at Pizza*Hut. Her friends mainly, and cousins. And ofcourse, DadofFiveKitchenGoddess and their brood. Thanks guys for helping me out with the balang of sweets. Thanks MrsN for the lovely muffins!! (Yes I bully my friends)
That very morning at 6 I had to send Hubby to Hospital as he had theatre. Balik je, siap, and then wait for the kids to siap then went out again to buy FIL newspaper. Then went out to BAG&S cake supplies to buy the- er supplies to make cakes. Spent a fortune on stuff like colourful cones, cake spatula, cake mixes, cake weighing scale (er yes bought for the first time)- You'd think its the first birthday party for the first child. Then sent the kids home with the cake barangbarang. Told by Ningseh "TAKDA TELOR!!!" ..Takda telur nak buat cake apa kan, so out again I went for the eggs. Then came home deposited the eggs and out again for the party packs. Ideas sudah ada for games to be played while sitting down (yalah, this particular P*izzahut is not a birthdayparty kind of place, they are basically just providing me the space , and supplying the menu) ..At the Jajan shop , bought "prizes" for the kids. Stayed there until noon. Went home. Nadine and Sara in kitchen, cake just put into oven. The plan was for a 2 tiered cake with M&Ms all over the first tier, and kitkats on the second tier. I even bought the biscuits that they use in Tiramisu.
Then got a call- Sophia's friends are allready there. Left home with the kids (sans Nadine who wanted to stay for the cake)..then found that PizzaH*ut allready served the first course- thank you! Soon, everyone started to arrive. Kids had eaten, came around to ask me "Ada game tak? We all bored laaaaa".. So out came Game No 1 which was a Memory Game- you have to remember the things I showed and write in correct order. We had 2 of those. Thanks Dahlia for lending us your play food.
OF course, everyone won. Amazing - but then Zu said they copied each other's list....pandai..The clincher was the "Guess the Number of Sweets in the Balang"- NOT an original idea as was done at friend's party recently- sorry ah tiru idea. But then it was perfect as they could do it and NOT run around.
After that, it was make a card for Sophia time...everyone got glitter and pens and paper- yikes no glue! Thanks Uncle Epa for dashing off to get the glue.
Party ended around- 5.30?? Lama gak ek?
All in all I think they had fun... Phew!
