Anyway was chatting in the kitchen with dad in law and he was talking about the contract to renovate mosques/suraus. Apparently you can get approval for allocations from the govt but then you have to use their contractors. So if you need RM3 k, you have to request for RM6, and then ask for their contractor, and they will charge RM10k. In the end the mosque only gets RM1,500 which buys them nothing.
Come on...Is there any contractor out there who can tell me that this practise of skimming off the allocated amt, as commission etc, is not actually a serious nanah/pus roblem g?? Right now it seems so bad and permeates even the religious activities! It's so accepted that ppl ask upfront. Contract kecik or besar it does not matter.
Anyway it's really nice to chat to the inlaws. Mom in law will teach doas and impart her wisdom. While dad will chat about ppl and his experience . He may seem mildmannered but he observes and he understands. Mom must be wondering how is it that such a daughter in law can have such muslimah children..hahahaha..it's all her son, clearly.
