It's never boring when you have a maid

Tom Cruise and Katie divorce because of ....?

Aiyoo..another one bites the dust...

ok ok firstly i dont know them.

secondly they are "mat salleh"

and thirdly they are blooming hollywood stars..maybe their standards are different

but love is love and marriage is marriage and having kids is having kids- and the breakdown of any marriage is always so sad kan

The thing is when they went into this marriage people doubt them, and throughout their marriage people doubt them and kept waiting for their divorce...and then they go divorce..for once cant they just buck the trend and NOT break up???

Anyway. On the home front I have one er - shockingg bombshell. I was up at 5 am and was chatting with maid on our ages...and I asked her - eh Im  older than you right?? And she looked at me and she said- she is actually 26 and not 38 like she declared in her passport. And she is not a mom of 4 but rather a mom of 1 boy. Who is 12.  She was indeed pregnant at 14.

I listened to it amusedly. I wasn't upset because it was like- long as you do the work im ok. YOu can tell me you are a fairy from the land of fairy land and I would be ok

And then she told me later that evening- Bu, (madam) Im going to see my brother tomorrow at 9

me: EH? You are telling me or asking me?

She: I allready asked you the other day?

Me: I dont remember you asking to SEE him? I remember you telling me you have 12 brothers and sisters in Malaysia which you had conveniently forgot to tell the agent, or me. Now you tell me you are going to see him?? Whats happening??

So anyway I sat her down and this is the story: Take a deep breath everybody!

She has brothers and sisters in Malaysia. She has found 2 . One brother contacted her. How? By giving a letter to a friend who worked in Ulu Klang, and who then knows the lady who worked in the mamak shop down the road, Magically that friend knows her and said to that man holding the letter, eh i know this person she works so and so place and HER PHONE NUMBER (my home number) is this . And so the brother has been calling my  home number. A coincidence. She told me another brother has also contacted her.  the guy got our number by dialling random number This is the number that husband went to the TM shop to get THIS year. If I were to forget my own number and decide to dial randomly I OSO cannot get it right!!!  Woaaahhh these Indons...James Bond pun kalah!

Anyway...she now wants to go to Kotaraya where her brother will meet her, and then take her to Klang, to meet her sis ter in law before she goes back for a month. Maybe she will need to stay at her brothers place overnight, if the sister in law decide not to go back. Flight at 5 pm, can decide not to go back meh?? Tony Fernandez your uncle is it?

Okay, if in the morning I was fine...then this time around I blew my top. You lied to me about your age, you lied to me about your basically lied and lied..and you want me to trust you? Never mind that the agents are asking you to lie, you had the chance to tell me the truth. you hold the keys to my house, you take care of my can I trust what you say if  you lie? All the "demi tuhan"- can I believe them??

She really really really wanted to go.. but if i said no, its ok.

Sigh...i pondered and pondered. Nak je say no but feel like against the" Human Rights Code of Ethics For Stupid Employers"- yelah, she has her brother and she wants to see cruel am I not to give right??

Then I spoke to @Mrsnordin and the agent and they both laughed their heads off at my silliness....they said:

"She is meeting her boyfriend, silly!! She is a widow., she has been here for several months (8) and now she has friends - neighbour's maids, the restaurant down the road. the sweeper etc...they have introduced her to a man -  one of the house even had construction workers for sveral months (now dah takda)- and now she wants to go meet him to have fun time! And she is being coached about what to say! Where she knows about Kota raya?? "Silly silly me.

So im saying no, and of course I apologise profusely while doing so- I am still me, right. And im taking her wiht me today to cut her hair etc etc

unless she is gone by the time I go downstairs...

BTW my agent said its very very hard to get a maid nowadays...he has not brought one in since February. If you guys can teach me how to mop, I will gladly send her away. (that , and give me the contact number of a day maid)

Me and MLM

I suck at Multi Level Marketing.

ANY marketing , come to think of it.

I've joined god knows whatever there is out there...all believing fullheartedly in it...

Nuskin?? now ordering everymonth out of sympathy for the guy because if I don't order he will not make his points (I know right??What the heck moment) - first time i know of Nuskin my cousin from dad's side  had a kenduri and at her kenduri HER cousin  (from her mom's side- confused yet?) had a demo on Nuskin..even had this thing where she burnt some normal marketbought stuff and then it like burnt and she said - ahhhhhaaa this shows that its not clean etc etc..ok of course I signed up on the spot. Must say though that I liked the product.

Then I kinda forgot about it for  a while face thank goodness, did not suffer. Too much!

Then recently I joined BNI i met this guy also selling Nuskin the only thing was- he was TOTALLY not like a salesman, more like an accountant and he is so pleasant! And so persistent! So I signed up under him. I liked him even though he did the biometric age thing of me, and staff at work and then discovered that I am  BIOLOGICALLY 54 years old* actually- still, he did it while smiling so I macam dont mind. There was a brief tussle for my membership at the B*NIthing because one of the members was going  into the business - but in the end I stuck to Mr C*hew.  And kept surreptitiously buying the LIfepack tablets..and hiding it in my office dah berkotak kotak,....kenapa tak makan?? Cause the pills are so darn huge..nak telan susah (OKAY I AM A BABY)
** I am actually 43~! which is funny because my body internally is older than the rest of my semua kena resepek okay!

And then there's Melaleuca

Ok in my defence, they are good- non caustic and non toxic and organic and natural and they use a lot of tea tree oil..and then everything smells foreign and very nice...and so I became a member..not only member but PREMIUM member okay ie I went and bought like a HUGE box as a starter..ok this I like but the guy then asked me ..when am I going to introduce my friends to it?? er..i dont know.

I dont know because I don't know how to do the business..yeah yeah I know the money is good. But How do I sell?? I buy pandailah..sell , I not so good. I end up scaring the other person cause Im like so earnest- BUYYLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA from me....(yeah thats what happened when I tried to promote Nuskin)

Apa tu?? Yes of COURSE i have Premium Beautiful ha ha ha...even though it cost me an arm and a leg. Tried it on. Even went to a restaurant with the whole family with it..but found it tobe sooo gatal on turned out that I was simply..too fat. I nearly killed myself everytime I went to the loo trying to get it off, I gave it a rest for a while thinking -- let me lose weight first...then I can get  into it...of course THAT never  happened lah kan??

So er,,,anyone wants a PB set ?? kekekekekekekek

I wonder which MLM I will join next..heheheh

The Day My Daughter Debated...! (and mummy debated from the sidelines) !!

Sorry sorry many things to you have the time?? okay here goes:

The Debate

Well  my daughter Nadine got into the finals of the Interschool debate held at UIA. Which sounds so hohum normal and ordinary school event right but is actually A BIG DEAL ..She is so keen in debating and you know that she had even asked to stay if we were to go abroad for June as she had some debating thingy right- and right after that, she had this UIA thingy. Yeah, its a "Thingy" to her ever busy parents ..because we support but we kinda take it like- oh its  a school thing..until you know , she like COMPLAINED ! Her dad had said- dah dah lah tu. you have SPM this year (enough is enough! concentrate on exams !)

So when she went for this Interschool debate, we heard about her progress. She had 2 others of course in her team, and she would call me and tell me they got through to the "octo". One night we kidnapped her out of UIA (She was there for 4 days and4 nights) to take her to dinner - hey it was fathers day dinner lar...glad to see Mas my sister in law talking to her about her debate animatedly and I was glad that she had some one interested in her debate. We WERE but weren't really very excited like she clearly was (Edited as my daughter said she wasnt MEGA EXCITED hihihih)

Anyway then she said they got into SEMI FINALS!! Wheeee ! and asked me to go. So the next day not to disappoint my eldest daughter..I went. hey I can please some dumb clients who want me to attend to them on a Saturday I can jolly well make the effort right....

Went to a place that she told me. Drove to UIA. With the estima that we just took out of the workshop (Rm13 k ok) - and found that the car was funny, at normal driving, went at 80, at drive tu! and then, had to break so hard baru stop.

anyway reached UIA. went to the place, climbed stairs (huffed and puffed) and looked for the place. All locked up. Searched for office. Debate started at 10. It was 10. Person in office said it was at Place B. Drove to Place B. UIA makes you drive around a huge round to come back to where you were. Place B - empty. Walk so far empty??  Only kids preparing for the Final there at night. My daughter was in another building! THINK ZEN!! -Went to car, to drive. Car sounded funny. At P was revving crazily. Burning smell. Killed car.  Called MECHANIC NOW! and posted in fb (of course) -- and then waited...and waited -- and sweated like an oink oink (never actually seen them sweat or come to think of it,  in close range at all) -- and then finally came , and then finally repaired, turned out some wires on some cable frayed..and he repaired but did not replace..need to replace..until replace, please drive slowly.

Waaa? by the time finished repair...finished debate...daughter and team had gone back..I suppose..cause i went home. a prayer upstairs to PLEASE LET MY DAUGHTER WIN THE SEMI SO THAT SHE CAN GO TO FINALS SO THAT HER PARENTS CAN FINALLY SEE HER DEBATE because I didnt get to watch waaaaaaaaaa

Then!!! As I was doing my docs (i always have work to so disorganised that work follows me everywhere) - i got a call from a friend whose daughter was also in UIA and she said.--

Congratulations!!! Nadine is in Finals! !Adni won Semi against KDU! (talk about the power of mom's prayer!)

Wooohoooo! woohoooo!! woohooo!!

Who was the opponent??

Aiyoo..that is one powderful team man..been in the finals like four years or was it 2 years in a row..and had established themselves in the debate track...and my Adni kids are going after them??
Adni., who only entered the debate thing LAST YEAR for the first time ever?? Adni, who NO ONE knows? Not a boarding school, not an elite school, but a small cikoonanan school by the highway (whose fees I am paying slowly argh)

So come to the finals...

Nadine came back briefly to take her clothes change for the finals..hehehe must loook nice. Pity Adni did not even have a school blazer....anyway never mind.

Come to the finals. I took the kids to UIA and we were excitedly waiting for it to start. Even Husband came from hospital. Kids were banished to the u pper stands while parents get to sit in front. Met the parents of the other 2 debaters =-one i allready know as she rides as well with my kids and one is the parent of the only boy (who I think Nadine has a slightttt crush on shhhhh)

anyway started jeng jeng..the two teams came down....and went to their places.. the boys from SDAR  were all nicely dressed ...they were the government supporting the motion " It should be the legal responsibility of a captain to be the last one on the ship"

Ok where did THAT topic come from...

The Chair was a bit was a debating competition right..and serious..and final some more..why was the Chair acting like its a gameshow?? Because after one speaker got up, she would introduce him/her and say stuff like" so and so likes to cook and when asked her ambition is to be a masterchef but she actually..does not know how to cook ha ha ha!" in an Im so funny voice. Which is nice,. but not appropriate I think.

Anyway the first speaker went on. And then the first from Adni..a small girl called Alia - while she was talking the other side kept standing up- it appears that this is common for parliamentary debates-- no ethics at all..biasa lar... hehehe (although they might want to throw chairs if they really want to follow govt style debates ha ha ha)  Alia told the other guys - SIT DOWN..which is hilarious because it was so firm and she sounds so serious when she is so small.

Overall....the kids did well. I know, I know, they had a few grammatical mistakes plus they created new words ..ha ha..the whole thing was not clear at all and I think its because they did not understand the responsibility..they thought it meant death, crime, jail etc anyway never mind- two teams who had noo idea of where to go with this as who knows what the legal position is?

So I put the blame on the topic.

Anyway the delivery- the SDAR had their points - a lot , and they delivered it okay. Adni had their star debater , a boy who was cocky and grinned his way through the debate.. i guess when its parliamentary style its ok. I would deck him, ha ha ha! But he had the best delivery method of not knowing anything about debating..but at least he summed up the points and tied them up so that the listener understood where he was going with what he was saying. Yeah you have a lot of points pun no point if no one understands right..yeah. mummy was doing a lot of underbreath commentary. I told the teacher next to me- this is why i dont come-- i am a disruptive should see me at their sports day..i am the one that would be jumping up and down and yelling muslimah - NOT.

Then it was Nadine's turn...we were excited when she got up. Her voice broke ! She was nervous I think!

Then it was over....and the poor SDAR speaker had one more thing to say..this was his second(?) final and he will make damn sure government (which they are) wins. Damn sure? in a debate ??

Ok ok im too harsh !

SUSPENSE after the debate..everyone was on a high..everyone said even reaching the finals was an tak menang is oso okay, result was the next day...

The next day I had an appointment of one an hour okay so it was mad..

but in the middle of it I got an sms - WE WON!

So excited
and havenot come down yet

poor Sdarians.....never mind.

And now getting questions- where's Adni school anyway?? hehehehhe

So now Nadine - STUDY!! !

Tomorrow Im sure life will be heckk because today it is HEAVENLYYYYY

I am at Carlton singapore wiht the other half who is swimming his heart out in this lovely deep pool and I am surfing this FREE internet and after this we are going out to either Arab St or marine bay sands I am loving it ! On the Queen In Hyun man's front the drama is officially over and I have not yet seen the last 3 episodes because Im waiting for the English subs to come but the actor who acted as the hero went and confessed publicly 3 days ago that he has fallen in love with his co actor the heroine SWOON

On a very somber note my young cousin who was 27 died  in his sleep. He was the only son  of my mother 's sister. He went to bed at 8 and then by the time they woke him up for subh he was allready gone and gone for quite a while from the look of it. Hubby and I were woken up at dawn and hubbs went first and certified the death..awwww his mom was soo heartbroken because this boy was such a good boy and never did anything that his mom did nt like and also didn't work for 3 years after his degree purely so that he can fetch his mom and sister here and there  and run errands for them...and his dad was hardly home and now the dad (i hope) feels like such a heel...still I would not wish a death of a child for anyone no matter how horrible they are. And they refused postmortem which finally the police allowed although it is routine procedure to investigate if a young man who had no previous illness died for no reason. I also found out that life insurance cannot be claimed if there is no cause of death. And no post mortem means cannot find cause of death. But I am wondering--what the heck is cause of death? Could it be black magic (his mom had been a victim) but can black magic kill??

Anyway we shall never know and I pray the little family will recover and my auntie stays strong and grounded ..she is ever such a tiny person if you see her. but the burden she shoulders/.wow. I told her that your son thinks you are strong enough thats why he left you. You must go on. And not collapse. Senangnye I cakap...if it was my child would i still stay sane enough to hold a tahlil or would I go into a room and cry and cry??

Anyway yes. the swimming man has forgotten his goggles and so is waiting for the pool to clear so that he can swim without fear of hitting people.
